Legal Aid at Work seeks a Staff Attorney in the CLS program, who will join a team of attorneys and legal advocates in supporting the overall work of the Workers’ Rights Clinics and language access phonelines. The Staff Attorney will play a pivotal role in CLS’ service delivery by providing advice, information, and referrals to monolingual Chinese speaking clients and conducting critical outreach to Chinese communities and supports the organization’s translation and interpretation needs. The Staff Attorney will also oversee CLS’ language access operations, which includes operating the Chinese Language Line, supervising the work of the CLS personnel who staff the Spanish Language Line, and providing legal advice and direct services for matters requiring extensive interpretation. Buchalter — Exciting opportunity to build your own litigation practice centered around Chinese-speaking clients within a leading full-service business law firm. Litigation partner/senior associate/counsel to join Buchalter’s Greater China Practice, based in Irvine. Candidates must be fluent in Mandarin Chinese and have 10+ years of civil/commercial litigation experience in federal and state courts. IP and white collar expertise a plus. Having an existing book of business is helpful but not necessary, as practice group chair is willing to help the successful candidate with business development.

Our boutique law firm seeks a recent bar admittee or attorney who speaks Chinese fluently and with one year of experience in civil litigation.

What you’ll do:

Represent clients in the following practice areas: trust and estates litigation, family law, estate planning, business transactions, and business litigation.
Manage cases from start to finish, including propounding/responding to discovery, taking and defending depositions, drafting dispositive motions, and preparing for trial.

What you bring:

You are admitted to and in good standing with the CA State Bar.
You speak Chinese fluently.
You have 0-2 years of experience as an attorney.
You have excellent organization and communication skills, as well as a strong work ethic.
Must have authorization to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
